CORRECT OPERATION

When overloaded with too much electrical current, the metal wire inside a fuse will melt and open the circuit. This stops the flow of electricity.

Some circuit breakers will reset themselves after the electrical load is removed. Other circuit breakers will continuously open and close until the electrical load has been removed.
